The Massage Therapist administers professional massage and body treatments to our guests.
They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa's specific massage and body treatment offerings.
They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.This position involves serving as a poolside massage therapist, offering relaxing treatments by the pool.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerform various types of massage, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and other specialized techniquesCustomize massage treatments based on clients' individual needs and preferencesMaintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a tranquil and inviting atmosphere for clientsConduct thorough client consultations to assess their health history and specific requirementsStay informed about current spa services and promotions to effectively promote and upsell to clientsAdhere to all spa policies and protocols, including maintaining client confidentiality and professionalismKeep up-to-date records of client treatments, preferences, and progress.Provide exceptional customer service by addressing clients' concerns and ensuring a positive experienceCollaborate with other spa staff to create a seamless and enjoyable spa experience for clientsUphold a high level of hygiene and sanitation in all aspects of the massage therapy areaEducate clients on the benefits of regular massage and recommend follow-up treatmentsMaintain all required licenses and certifications, complying with state and local regulationsProvide assistance to other Associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the spaPerform any other duties as requested by management REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS1+ years experience as a Massage Therapist in a stand-alone spa or luxury hotel/resort spa.Must hold and maintain CAMTC certification.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
