A combined room-count of nearly 200 rooms and suites allows us to create a memorable experience for any occasion!
JOB SUMMARY:
The Lead Spa Massage Therapist is responsible for leading and supervising a team of massage therapists, ensuring the highest level of quality and service in all massage treatments. This position will be instrumental in enhancing the overall spa experience and promoting a sense of well-being among our clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a wide range of massage therapies, body treatments, and wellness services, tailored to the individual needs of each client
- Supervise and lead a team of massage therapists
- Train new therapists in spa protocols and techniques
- Build strong rapport with clients and recommend treatments
- Collaborate with spa management to develop treatment protocols, maintain quality standards, and ensure a consistent guest experience
- Collaborate closely with spa management to identify and introduce new and innovative treatment offerings that align with current market trends and client preferences
- Stay informed about emerging massage therapy techniques, products, and equipment to enhance the spa's service menu
- Monitor and manage the cleanliness, organization, and ambiance of treatment rooms and spa facilities to uphold a serene and relaxing environment
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and a commitment to exceptional customer service
- Ensure treatment rooms and related areas are clean and well stocked. Inform management team when additional supplies are needed
- Perform any other duties as requested by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous luxury spa experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience (one year minimum) in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Must hold and maintain a State licensed massage therapist license and required insurance.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
