The HCCS Board of Directors is looking to recruit candidates to fill three upcoming vacancies.
We are seeking candidates who desire to foster global citizenship through education.
Serving on the Board is an opportunity to support and contribute to the success of HCCS school leaders, teachers & staff, and students.
Board member time commitment is estimated to be 10-20 hours per month on average.
The current Board goals are as follows:
- Develop a tactical multiple year plan to establish a strategic plan including fundraising/ resourcing.
- Advance DEI and anti-racism efforts in priority areas throughout the school such as academics, enrollment, fundraising, finance, and governance.
- Establish and gain traction with the fundraising committee to enable new & diverse revenue streams for the school.
- Enhance board recruitment and succession planning to ensure a robust candidate pipeline and incorporate DEI focus areas, such as:
board representation, enhanced expertise, and diversity of thought.
We welcome an application from anyone who feels passionate about being an ambassador in the community and articulating the School's mission and goals to the public.
The Board would benefit from candidates with experience in Education (preferably elementary education), Finance/Accounting, Fundraising, Legal, Commercial Real Estate, & Business ( Marketing,Human Resources, Program Development).
We encourage applicants from marginalized groups including BIPOC, LGBTQ, learning disabled, women, and lower socioeconomic status, in order to widen the variety of perspectives represented on the Board.
Individuals interested in serving in a leadership capacity on the Board are highly desired and encouraged to indicate their interest in their application, as Board Members are encouraged to hold an officer position (i.e.
chair, treasurer, secretary) during their Board tenure.
