We are a fast-paced, growing construction company that delivers safety, quality, and on-time work, that specializes in heavy civil construction that includes earthwork, concrete work, steel erection and more.
To be a successful Carpenter, you must possess the skills necessary for the trade. We are looking for someone who can work shifts if necessary, over weekends, and at night. You should also be physically fit and be able to stand for long periods of time, work on your knees, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in high heat and cold weather.
Key Responsibilities
• Building and setting forms that hold the concrete in place.
• Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
• Forming bridge decks and setting overhang jacks.
• Placing shoring and false work.
• Read and interpret/understand blueprints and plans and specifications.
Additional Responsibilities
• Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
• Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
• Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
• Applying sealing and hardening components.
• Safely operating power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted.
• Produce high quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information is available for the work.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices ask a supervisor before continuing.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• Effective Math skills - add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.

Job Requirements
At least 2 years' experience as a Carpenter performing Form Work, Structural and/ or Bridge work .
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
3 or more years' experience as a Carpenter performing Form Work, Structural and/ or Bridge work .
3 or more years' experience as a Mason, Concrete laborer, Concrete Finisher.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates at professional construction sites, requiring the ability to communicate with verbally others on site, in person and over the telephone, ability to read printed materials, signs and directions, stamina to maintain attention despite interruptions, ability to lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds and reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, traverse around or otherwise position one's self around the required work and safety requirements to navigating and perform activities on various construction sites in a safe manner.
Will be required to work on project sites and operate vehicles, trailers, machinery, equipment and other tools within local, state and federal safety guidelines.
This position operates in a professional field environment. The position requires working outside, frequently for long periods of time in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
While working, the employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
