Dental Hygienist PT-8 hrs per week or PRN

Overview:

NaphCare is hiring experienced Dental Hygienists Part-Time just like you to join our team at the Arizona Department of Corrections-Douglas facility located in Douglas, Arizona 85607.

8 hours per week or PRN (you choose schedule), and 8-13 week temporary contracts are available.

Pay rates range from $40.00-$56per hour based on employment status, shift, specific facility, site needs, licensure, and experience.
PRN shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs and will be determined by site leadership and prn employee availability.

NetCE uses a rigorous peer review process to ensure that all activities and content are up-to-date.
This service streamlines continuing education for all NaphCare Employees to meet state specific requirements for maintaining licensing.

Position Description

• Current Certification from an accredited Hygiene Program
• Dental radiology certification and anesthesia certification are required
• Current CPR Certification
• Provide dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, application of fluoride and/or other services on patients.
  
• Complete periodontal charting and, obtain other diagnostic records on patients.
  
• Perform facial and oral tissue and oral cancer screenings during exams.
  
• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions and/or other post-operative instructions to patients.
  
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal conditions on each patient.
  
• Assist the Dentists when needed.
  
• Take dental x-rays and/or impressions.
  
• Sterilize dental instruments.
  
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping protected health information (PHI) confidential.
  
• Use all functions and applications of TechCare relevant to document dental hygiene services within the patient record.
  
• Maintain dental supply inventory by regularly checking the stock to determine appropriate inventory levels.
  
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
