This position will be responsible for the manufacturing assessment of non-conformities, late changes to support production, and supporting and identifying continuous improvement opportunities for the manufacturing process. Responds to technical questions and explains work orders/drawings, especially for aircraft mechanical related items. Establishes and maintains effective communications with FAL production and serves as interface to the on site back office for work order adaptation.

Your working environment:
Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. Your challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Handle Non-Conformities: 50%
- Create specific work orders for FAL rework (Cabin, Systems, Electrics, or Structures by Station) , establish/verify the technical content of non-conformities, and validate in documentation.
- Provide technical support to production on all issues including oversight of directed changes.
- Responsible for incorporating implicit knowledge into work instructions and refine them in terms of language, level of detail and regulation assignment to ensure operations have correct information for aircraft build.
- Initiate availability of replacement parts, jigs, and tools required for work.
- Manage continuous improvement measures with recurrent non-conformities in cooperation with quality.
- Participate as an active team member to support ME activities in the FAL.
- Participate as an active team member learning and following dedicated training plans from current team members. including providing orientation support to new colleagues and trainees.
- Additional projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
- Recent graduate with Bachelor's degree, or Non-degree holder with 4 years of Airbus experience or 5 years of industry experience.
- 3 or more years of experience interpreting engineering drawings.
- Excellent MS Office/Google Suite application, as well as experience in analyzing data.
- High degree of flexibility and initiative.
- Required: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Travel: 5% Domestic and International.
- Required: Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and tools used in manufacturing engineering.
- Required: Knowledge of supply chain management and quality system management.
- Required: Knowledge about non-conformities and design query notes.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Airbus Industries mechanical process & methods.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Airbus IT-Tools (Zamiz, TAKSY, DocMaster, ECM).
- Preferred: Knowledge of common applications such as SAP/R3 (Module PP/PM).
- Preferred: Knowledge about aircraft structure installation.
- Preferred: Knowledge of rules for aircraft design and manufacturing.
- Preferred: Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and practice.
- Required: Have the ability to establish and maintain a good relationship with all internal customers.
- Required: Have the ability to work in an international team.
- Required: Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Required: Must be able to present clear and concise briefings and reports to customers and executives
- Preferred: Fluency in German or French.
- Required: Knowledge in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
- Preferred: Knowledge of Airbus Industries electrical processes & methods.
