Position Summary:
In this role, the Clinical Assistant will assist in the overall care and supervision of residents. The Clinical Assistant will function in a professional manner and evidence of a positive attitude in all aspects of work. The performance of all duties will be consistent with Bradford's philosophy, enhance the therapeutic environment and protect the confidentiality of all patients

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Be aware of where residents are at all times, circulating around the facility on a regular basis
* Assists in client orientation to facility and program
* Assure that all clients follow the program schedule and are on time for each assignment
* Demonstrate the ability to communicate and relate to residents clearly and effectively
* Reports any infractions of policy to administration
* Supervise client activities as directed
* Assure that clients are in their rooms at the designated times in the evening
* Attend staff training programs as scheduled
* Provide emotional support and assistance to clients in crisis, under direction of the clinical team
* Participates in transport and supervision of clients to and from activities
* Demonstrate knowledge and skill in non-violent crisis interventions
* Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality with respect to patient and potential patient interactions and identifying information
* Regular attendance, do other related jobs which are necessary to the daily operation of The Estate, and as requested by therapist and the Supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Ability to work with male and female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dual diagnosed population
* Good communication skills
* Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record
Education:
* High School graduate or GED
Physical Requirements:
* Must walk within the facility and on the grounds for approximately 1 mile per 12-hour shift
* Must be capable of administering CPR (Certification required)
* Must be able to bend and stoop from a standing position to the floor
* Must be able to stand continuously in increments of 45 minutes to 1 hour
* Must be able to physically assist a disoriented or intoxicated resident of average weight of 140 to 170 lbs from the floor to a chair or bed.
* Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations.
* If recovering, 1 year of continuous verifiable abstinence
