The purpose of the Courier is to receive in all incoming packages, account for them and distribute to the correct department(s).
• Essential Job Functions*
Receive in all packages in shipping and receiving.
Check all packages with the packing slip to make sure the order is correct.
Distribute incoming mail and packages to various departments daily.
Pick up internal mail to be stamped and mailed within the building.
Help monitor supplies on hand and dispense as needed to other locations.
Help to maintain the outside couriers that go to our outlying locations.
Keep shipping and receiving as well as the loading dock in a neat and organized area.
Will be the backup for the Outside Courier when he/she is out.
Assist in taking supplies to another local location when the Outside Courier is unable to.
Will work closely with the Procurement Assistant daily.
Other duties as assigned.
• Qualifications*
Must be well-organized and efficient.
Must be able to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Must be able to handle stress.
• Education/Experience*
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance.
• Working conditions*
This position works in a busy hematology/oncology clinic but has minimal direct patient contact. You may have to help them if they are needing help to where they need to be.
• Physical requirements*
This position requires the employee be able to lift at least 50 pounds, as well as stand and walk for up to eight hours a day. This position requires the employee to be able to drive.
• Direct Reports*
This position is not a supervisory position.
