Operates specialized equipment which measures and records electrical activity of the brain, peripheral nervous system, and spinal cord.
Assists in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain and nervous system such as brain tumors, sleep disorders, strokes and epilepsy.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Typically reports to supervisor or manager.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
