Join our client's team as a Senior Project Manager based in Whangarei, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing diverse civil and infrastructure projects.
This position offers the chance to work on stimulating projects while soaking in the laid-back atmosphere of Whangarei.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to drive engagement and growth for the Infrastructure Delivery Team and the wider organization.
Provide innovative solutions to overcome job-specific challenges, offering practical advice and guidance.
Ensure the technical and quality requirements of work are consistently met and maintained.
Keep meticulous records of all work and communications.
Foster positive relationships with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors.
Work towards and maintain appropriate professional memberships.
What You Bring:
A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Project Manager in civil and infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Experience in areas such as roading, civil infrastructure, urban development, rail, and general civil works is highly advantageous.
Strong familiarity with the New Zealand construction management environment and knowledge of NZS3910 or NZS3916 standards.
Experience in roles such as Engineer to Contract or Engineers Representative.
A tertiary degree in civil engineering or construction management, along with relevant training in project management and NZTA accreditation.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
Highly organized with an acute attention to detail, while also keeping focus on the bigger picture.
A team player who values collaboration and contributes positively to the work environment.
