Customer Platform Team Lead

We encourage curiosity, experimentation, learning and self-awareness and provide the freedom to learn and opportunities to grow and develop.In this newly created role, you will report to the Customer Strategy & Planning Manager (Markets, Customer Business Unit), leading a team of 5-7 direct reports and 12 indirect reports.
In this role, you will manage the design and delivery of solutions across configuration platforms to meet the Customer business needs.
You will be responsible for the Management of core major platforms utilised by the Customer business, solution design and delivery on those platforms and also be responsible for ongoing optimisation of technology and business processes.
You will have a deep technical understanding and be able to provide support and coaching while maximising the utilisation of these tools and services that our third parties/vendors provide to us.This role will need to work closely with our vendors to understand changes coming up, how Mercury can maximise the total cost of ownership and then support the team that are building solutions to ensure we are building it in the right way and using the new advancements.This role will provide a significant career opportunity where you will be exposed to the breadth of our business and provided with opportunities to grow as we evolve our Customer business.
There are a number of exciting programmes of work in the pipeline and this role is fundamentally important to the success and delivery of those projects.This role can be based in either Auckland or Tauranga.

During the first six months, we will be working three days per week in the office to maximise collaboration and establish ways of working.Key responsibilities include:
Development and management of best practice across Customer Platforms.Solution design and delivery within Customer Platforms.Development of team to maximise outcomes and capability.Platform Management including updates, security, releases, and pipeline management.We are looking for:
Tertiary qualification is a business or technology discipline, or minimum 10 years relevant experience.Demonstrated experience in Software Platform Management and GovernanceMinimum 5 years experience in management of technology or analytical discipline teams.Experience with the software development life cycle, and change/release management.Agile Project Mgmt certification and/or experienceExperience with Salesforce products whilst not critical, will be advantageous.Strong ability to develop relationships and manage key stakeholdersRelationship building - strong ability to develop relationships and create alignment across the organisationPersonal resilience - displaying self-awareness, self-regulation and self-compassion, understanding own values and purpose, persistent in the face of adversityMercury offers (full benefits are listed on our Career Page):
