Software Engineering Manager-Python
My healthcare client is uniquely positioned to enable enterprises & organisations across multiple Technology domains including data analytics, digital technologies, automation & AI. Their Claims Processing, Provider Data Operations and Corporate Functions are among the best in the Healthcare Sector.
Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
• Lead the technical scoping, design and delivery of a product deliverable/workstream
• Lead technical teams of 4-7 associates
Domain and Industry Knowledge:
• 10+ years industry experience.
• 4+ years of people leading experience.
• Interest in growing knowledge in health insurance, experience in the area is a plus
Leadership:
• Provide mentorship to associates
• Identify skills gaps within the team and coordinate training or learning opportunities to address
• Navigate complex or ambiguous problems and guide the team towards effective solutions
• Facilitate discussions to resolve technical disagreements, guiding the team towards alignment whilst considering diverse viewpoints
• Identify potential risks, dependencies and challenges early, working with the team to mitigate them and develop contingency plans
• Identify performing outliers and proactively highlight to management to ensure appropriate development plan
• Active contribution to team building initiatives to support team growth and create process efficiencies
Technical skills (independently and team members oversight):
• Expert in SQL, familiar with architectural best practices
• Expert in Python with a focus on writing performant code
• Experience with Relational and any NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or Mongo DB or cloud equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of Python and related frameworks like- Flask/FastApi (rest), asyncio (async processing), Redis (cache), sqlalchemy (DB) etc.
• Good knowledge in HTML/CSS/JavaScript with familiarity with React/Angular/NextJS
• Experienced with REST APIs/JSON and GRPC/protobuf protocol.
• Capable of design and implementation in less complex data solutions
Communication skills:
• Ability to communicate with all levels in the company and adjust presentations to the audience are necessary
• Highly experienced in working collaboratively within cross-functional teams
• Build relationships with key stakeholders
• Ability to take ownership of various tasks and direct the team in choosing the best possible action
• Working with the team to define project scope and needs
