The successful candidate will work within Renishaw's new product development process to bring new technology and products to market, managing one lead project and its sub-projects throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing and delivering to agreed project outcomes by applying project management best practice.
ResponsibilitiesManage the full lifecycle of new product development projects following Renishaw's product innovation processResponsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of key projects.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring interdependencies are managed effectivelyMonitor project progress, identifying and addressing issues proactively.Manage project documentation in line with Renishaw's product innovation processIdentify, mitigate, and escalate risks and opportunities as appropriate.Regularly report on project status and risks, communicating through the written word, conversations, and presentationsAgree on project approach with stakeholders and prepare realistic project plans (including scope, required resource, schedule, quality, risk, and communication plans).
Track activities against the project schedule.Provide effective leadership to the project team and drive progress.Key requirementsA project management qualification (e.g.
APM PMQ, Prince2), or equivalent experienceProven ability to manage new product development projects through to product launch and project completionExcellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to lead project teamsExperience applying project management best practice and methodologiesExperience of project risk managementEffective communicator and influencer at all levelsDesirable requirementsUnderstanding of metrology and optical measurement technology.Good technical awareness and understanding of design functionsProblem solving experienceExperience working with remote team membersAPMP/PMQ QualifiedA Degree or HND in an engineering or scientific discipline.
