JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will manage the trading team responsible for sourcing and selling wholesale messaging to customers and partners ensuring that message routes are procured according to specified quantity, quality, and cost requirements, and sold to customers and partners with healthy margines, while monitoring the quality and price changes of routes and reacting rapidly to maintain GP growth.
This is a professional people management role responsible for managing a team of messaging traders responsible for selling the International Connectivity products and managing the suppliers and routes to maximise Gross Profit ('GP') target.
As a people manager you are responsible for establishing the environment for your team to outperform.
This will include leading the team, providing direction, coaching, and setting and managing expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review plans annually, quarterly and monthly including assessments of the market, go to market plans, marketing initiatives and sales strategies.
Deliver Annual GP growth as set in the target communicated by the executive team.
Track GP $ and take actions to maintain healthy gross profit (GP)%.
Design and implement the organisation's strategic Trading (Sales, Procurement and Routing) plan in line with overall business performance goals.
Manage the team of traders who sell the International Connectivity products and manage the suppliers and routes to maximise GP $.
Develop, grow and maintain a high performing team of BDMs, Procurement and Routing through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, career development and managing the aspirations of the team.
Be point of contact for Sales organisation within Soprano for pricing related queries and for Customer Support services organisation on routing and supplier related queries.
Prepare management reports (including, for example, new sales, negotiated rates, new suppliers, etc.), and monthly country reports.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years' work experience as a manager of a trading team.
Minimum 5 years' work experience in CPaaS industry with a demonstrated track record of success
Proven trading (sales and procurement) ability including outstanding negotiation skills, persuasive ability and excellent communication skills.
Experience presenting as a keynote speaker at trading and messaging industry conferences.
Demonstrated and verifiable skills in reviewing/preparing proposals, presentations, internal and external reports.
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering or Science with strong numerical skills.
Available to occasionally attend after-hours global meetings in any time zone.
Available to travel domestically or internationally if needed.
