As a Head of Housing & Sustainment you will lead on the effective delivery of an inspirational housing management and neighbourhood service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in all areas, in line with regulatory requirements and best practise. Provide empowering, confident and clear leadership to ensure all staff foster a culture of doing the right thing by putting the customer first and demonstrate the Group's vision and values in their work and behaviours.

Supporting colleagues in agreeing strategic plans; developing foresight, capability and business insight as part of driving innovation to enable 'operations' to deliver business-focussed outcomes and maximise opportunities for cross-service development and growth.

Location: Liverpool Waterfront

Salary: £55,409 PA plus ECU (£1,460)

Head of Housing & Sustainment Main Duties:

Housing

• Lead the drive for continuous service improvement in tenancy and neighbourhood management to ensure high levels of performance.
• Champion a customer first focus approach across the Group to effectively embed an effective service culture.
• Lead on implementation of solutions to address the impact of Government reforms, legislation and regulatory changes.
• Responsible for policy and procedure reviews to ensure that Prima is compliant with regulation, legislation and best practice.
• Oversee the development of neighbourhood plans in consultation with colleagues and stakeholders and set an implementation framework for delivery and monitoring impact.
• Build relationships with partners to improve services, training and employment opportunities for tenants.
• Working with colleagues to lead on analysis of trends and performance data to inform decision making and proactively shape service provision.

• Lead / oversee the provision and management of Prima's leasehold properties.
• Lead / oversee the provision and management of Prima's supported accommodation.

Leadership

• As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, contribute to corporate strategy, policy development and delivery to ensure all corporate goals are achieved.
• Contribute to setting the team's budgets and effectively manage the budget to ensure the delivery of value for money services.
• Lead on areas of collaborative working, to ensure a 'one team' approach contributing to service development.
• Contribute to our risk management framework to ensure that risks are effectively managed, monitored and appropriately reported.

• Report to and attend Committees and Board meetings to support the Group Board in delivering good governance as and when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety to ensure the business meets all legal and regulatory duties.
  • As a member of the Extended Leadership Team, provide out of hours emergency support for the Group's repairs and housing service, to ensure business continuity.
  • Deputise for the Group Director of Housing and Growth as and when required.
  • Undertake any other duties to achieve personal, team and organisational objectives following consultation with the Group Director of Housing and Growth.
  • Champion Prima's commitment to Safeguarding and act as strategic lead for the safeguarding team to ensure the policy and process is implemented consistently throughout the Group.

Skills & Competencies for the role:

• In depth knowledge and awareness of related housing regulations/ law and good practice
• Experience of delivering face to face customer service with the ability to have honest conversations with customers.
• Experience of developing partnership working with support agencies, local authorities and community groups.
• Good understanding of the social, economic and political context in the neighbourhoods in which we operate and the impact of regulation, legislation and Government reforms.
• Good knowledge of performance monitoring and management.
• Experience of working as a senior manager in a similar organisation.
• Experience of using ICT systems - housing management, CRM systems and Microsoft office software.
• Experience of producing reports to Senior Management, Committees or Boards Operated at a senior level within a property related business.
• Experience in a housing association, not for profit or public sector organisation.
• Experience of shared ownership and leasehold services.
• Understand risk and performance management frameworks.
• Knowledge of commercial leases and management processes.
• Good understanding of best practice in customer services.
• Good Understanding of Performance Management.
• Understanding of an asset-based approach to working with people and communities and an understanding of social return on investment would be advantageous in this role
