About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to spearhead the development of productizing our latest research assistant suite of products' as an internal and external API offering. The API will be an interface that allows customers to interact with RavenPack's Bigdata AI platform and support them building their own Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) applications. As the Product Manager for API, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our API product strategy, ensuring seamless integration capabilities, and driving innovation to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
You will report directly to the VP of Product and will interact with various departments on a daily basis including operations, engineering, QA, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
What you Need to Succeed: Minimum of 4 years of product management experience, with a strong focus on SaaS products and API development.

Solid understanding of API design principles, RESTful architecture, and hands-on experience with API development tools and technologies.

Proficient in Python with a solid understanding of JSON, encompassing data manipulation, parsing, schema, and API integration.

In-depth knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and a demonstrated ability to translate market needs into successful product strategies.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and sales, to ensure cohesive and successful product development.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

A customer-centric mindset with a proven track record of delivering products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, as well as drive projects to successful completion.

The ability to communicate effectively in English both in writing and verbally is a must. Knowledge of Spanish is not a business requirement.
Your Responsibilities: Define and execute the API product strategy, aligning with overall business goals and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and prioritize features based on market demand and customer needs.

Drive the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to release, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality API products.

Work closely with engineering teams to provide clear and comprehensive product requirements, ensuring successful implementation.

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust the product strategy accordingly.

Monitor and analyze API usage metrics, customer feedback, and industry trends to iterate and improve the API product offering.

Act as the subject matter expert for API-related inquiries, both internally and externally.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the product development team.
