People & Research Portfolio in the Hearing Instrument Group (HIG) - Audiology
We are looking for a Senior Manager in Audiology in our Hearing Instrument Group.
The department is responsible for ensuring strong audiology for our portfolio of hearing aid brands and that Demant keeps leading with BrainHearing and clinically.
HIG Audiology is part of the Global Marketing organisation.
Your new role
You'll be leading People & Planning, supporting our research and audiology areas, having 6 senior researchers as your direct reports.
The mission for you will be clear.
Your first task will be to get familiar with audiology and research strategy breakdowns & roadmap across R&D and commercial functions.
You use this to lead proactive planning for the entire team ensuring capability of delivering the core value in a changing innovation, research & commercial landscape.
Furthermore, you will ensure a strategic, tactical, and operational planning & synchronization and you will work with other delivery responsible managers across R&D and Commercial organisations, to optimize interfaces and workflows.
Leading the team, it is essential that you ensure time and opportunity for growth and development in and as part of planned activities.
Finally, you will ensure an adaptation/change to SAFe in a proactive and smooth way.
Below, you find some of your most important responsibilities:
- Personnel management for research staff
- Responsible for HIG Audiology capacity and delivery planning across releases and time spans long- medium- and short term
- Responsible for our HR tool Pulse and across team ways of working development
- Ensure well-defined interfaces to main stakeholders & collaborators for the main HIG value chains we are part of
- Ensure research laboratories, and other critical infrastructure is available i.e.
sound studios and prototype deliveries from R&D
Additionally, you will work with other line managers in adjoining areas across R&D and Global Marketing to support and promote competence development across the organisation.
Experienced People Manager
We are looking for an experienced people manager who is interested in leading a team of researchers and/or specialists.
Furthermore, we are looking for a person who understand the nature of research and business and can create strong interfaces between those cultures.
To excel in your new position, you may have worked as a project manager or in a similar role where planning at different levels and time scales is needed.
It is important that you possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to sense your surroundings.
We are looking for candidates with a M.Sc.
or B.Sc.
degree within engineering, audiology, or another technology related field.
You could have experience from the medical device industry, consumer electronics, pharma, or another area.
Finally, we are looking for a candidate who have experience with SAFe or similar Agile ways of working.
