As a Senior Consultant Innovation Funding for Leyton, your primary mission is to help clients navigate the complex SR&ED program, maximize their eligible claims, and ensure compliance with the program's guidelines.SR&ED stands for "Scientific Research and Experimental Development." It is a tax incentive program in Canada that encourages businesses, both large and small, to conduct research and development (R&D) activities within the country.Join our dynamic teams at Leyton, and leverage your expertise to help our clients.
As a Senior Consultant Innovation Funding, you will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and practical solutions that drive financial success for our clients.SR&ED Application:
-Provide technical and financial expertise to companies throughout Canada in a wide range of industries to successfully secure non-dilutive funding as part of their growth and expansion.
The senior consultant has a portfolio of large and complex clients.-Maintain an SR&ED client portfolio representing a minimum annual income of $450,000 in consulting fees.-Participate in the growth strategy of our current Government Incentives practice.
• Draft government funding applications.
• Identify funding opportunities for new and existing clients by staying up to date with government budgets and initiativesClient Management
• -Maintain perfect communication with our current clients to support them throughout the non-dilutive application process.
• Offer clients cross-selling opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.Staying Updated:
SR&ED consultants stay up-to-date with any changes to the SR&ED program, tax laws, and regulations.Communication with stakeholders:

• Keeping track of the generated and collected invoices.-Chasing clients for invoice payment.Team Support:
• Take on a mentorship role by providing guidance and support to the junior team members in their SR&ED related responsibilities.-Review their work, provide constructive feedback, and help them improve their understanding of SR&ED tax regulations and best practicesREQUIREMENTSAt least 2 years of experience in a consulting firm or prior experience in SR&ED services.Degree in Software Engineering:
Backend stacks, Cloud, Machine Learning, and overall understanding of programming concepts.Good knowledge of Word and Excel.Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and ability to convey complex ideas as simple concepts.
