Digital Marketing Manager

Primary Purpose
Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager will work with various stakeholders and internal teams to launch campaigns on time and on budget.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be leading UCW's integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
Specific Responsibilities
- Write and oversee implementation of executional plans and briefs for digital marketing campaigns through various channels including PPC, Paid Social, Affiliate, SEO and Email Marketing
- Under the direction of the Associate Director, Digital Marketing, work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop marketing strategies and tactics to increase enrolment and brand awareness
- Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against KPIs and ROI
- Manage project timelines and requirements to ensure projects are delivered with high quality and achieve expected results
- Identify trends and insights in digital marketing.
Test new campaigns and explore new paid and organic channels.
Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies - Assist the Associate Director, Digital Marketing in keeping track of the budget and optimize digital spend
- Identify critical conversion and drop-off points that can be used to optimize user funnels and boost conversion rates
- Research ways to penetrate new markets
- Continuously recommend ways to improve internal processes and procedures for better efficiency
- Oversee operational management of internal digital marketing team by scheduling and assigning direct report tasks and following up on work results
- Ensure all digital marketing campaigns meet the required WCAG Accessibility Guidelines
- Assist with quality control to ensure brand consistency.
- Evaluate competitors
- Assist with other day-to-day marketing activities as needed
Position Requirements
- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools, including Google Analytics
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email and display advertising campaigns
- Strong project management, multitasking and problem-solving ability
- Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, processing figures with spreadsheets, and reporting on the campaign results.
Being able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization - Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience developing and executing complex marketing plans and campaigns
- The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and CASL legislation
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in digital marketing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role with direct reports
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g.
Salesforce) - Past experience working in higher education sector is a plus
- Experience in technical SEO a plus
- Will require to work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends
