Job description
Vanguard School is looking for a speech therapist for a full-time replacement (5 days a week) at the English-speaking elementary school for the 2024-2025 school year.
Tasks
You will work within a team of 10 speech therapists;
You contribute to the screening and recognition of students in difficulty, with a view to prevention and intervention;
You participate with the multidisciplinary team in the development and revision of the student's intervention plan by integrating the speech therapy treatment and intervention plan;
You collaborate with other members of the team in the consultation and coordination of interventions, and in the evaluation of the achievement of objectives;
You work with students or a group of students with specific problems in order to facilitate their learning and social integration;
You advise and support the teacher and explain the nature of the student's communication difficulties so that they can adapt their teaching and the teaching materials used.
Profile wanted
Have a master's degree in speech therapy
Be a member of the Order of Speech Therapists and Audiologists of Quebec;
Ease of working within a multidisciplinary team;
Proficiency in French, spoken and written
Good knowledge of English, spoken and written
Computer skills in learning tools
Salary offered
Compliant with public sector salary scales.
