What you do:
As a member of the Development team, you will be reporting to the Senior Director, National Construction.
You will be responsible for overseeing the construction process on new restaurant builds and renovations of existing restaurants.
Acting on behalf of the franchisee, the Project Manager will ensure that the contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers work to BP standards and practices, adhering to agreed upon project timelines and costs.
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Oversee the construction of new restaurants which includes:
using plans provided by the architect to collect quotes from contractors and suppliers to produce a project estimate; overseeing work performed by the General Contractor on behalf of the franchisees. - Oversee the renovation of existing restaurants which includes:
Producing scope of work to BPI standards, with an estimated project timeline; leading the franchisee through the renovation process; organizing when the franchisee needs to order and pay for equipment and materials needed for the project; overseeing the General Contractors preparation work, execution and final finished product. - Coordinate the hand-over of restaurants to franchisee, working with the Operations training team for a smooth transition from construction, to training, to fully open restaurant.
- Work with suppliers to assist the franchisees in ordering equipment and materials.
- Work alongside the design team to review plans and make suggestions and corrections to improve the design and construction process.
- Provide updates on all projects, providing data on project costs, delays, and issues pertinent to constantly improving the construction process.
Who you are:
- You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction, Business Administration, Project Management or related discipline;
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction / development project management (Experience in the restaurant industry would be an asset);
- You have the PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI (Project Management Institute) certification;
- You are bilingual (French/English) with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages proficiently;
- You have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license;
- You speak and understand construction technical language;
- You have strong organizational, prioritization, time management, and communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills;
- You understand restaurant construction methods and practices;
- You are able to read plans and work with construction software;
- You have the ability to lead project teams and is goal oriented;
- You must be willing and able to travel.

Vos responsabilités :
En tant que membre de l'équipe du développement, vous relèverez du Directeur principal, Construction - Échelle nationale.
Vous serez responsable de la supervision du processus de construction des nouveaux restaurants et de la rénovation des restaurants existants.
En agissant au nom du franchisé, le Gestionnaire de projets s'assurera que les entrepreneurs, sous-traitants et fournisseurs travaillent selon les normes et pratiques de BP, tout en respectant les échéances et les coûts convenus.
Dans ce rôle, vous devrez:
- Superviser la construction de nouveaux restaurants, ce qui comprend :
l'utilisation de plans fournis par l'architecte afin de demander des devis aux entrepreneurs et aux fournisseurs pour obtenir des estimations de construction; et la supervision des travaux effectués par l'entrepreneur général au nom du franchisé. - Superviser la rénovation de restaurants existants, ce qui comprend :
l'élaboration de l'étendue du travail selon les .
