JOB SUMMARY
As part of the Engineering team for the Griffon Life Limited Extension (GLLE), the project specialist is responsible for technical projects from conception to completion and is accountable to meet the objectives set by the customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, organize, and manage the design engineering schedule to support the GLLE program goals and objectives.
• Coordinate engineering efforts to complete the development of the engineering design.
• Coordinate design reviews with all the stakeholders
• Collaborate with multiple departments (engineering - all disciplines, manufacturing, procurement, finance, IT, technical publications, customer support, integrated operations, quality)
• Coordinate the engineering/planning change process and configuration management tasks required.
• Create project plan (using planning tools, phased/gated approach), determine required deliverables, assign resources and estimate tasks.
• Monitor project progress and report project performance status to the Desing Manager

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent related field.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in relevant aerospace and Project management field, preferably for a military airborne weapon system.
• Prior experience with Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) fleet management is an asset.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, communication skills (verbal and in writing) and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of aircraft certification and regulations especially in Department of National Defense (DND) TAA certification rules is an asset.
• Project management certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of the Bell NP&SI process is desirable.
• Functional knowledge of the English language is an absolute must.Functional knowledge of the French language is also highly desirable.
• Functional knowledge of the Windows Office.
• Functional knowledge Primavera P6, Enovia, SAP et MS Project is an asset.
This position requires communication in English with Bell teams outside Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners and customers outside Quebec.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
Incumbent must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and will maintain NATO Secret security clearance as issued by the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada's Public Services and Procurement Canada and BTCL security officers.
