London- Equipment Technician (Afternoon Shift) Location: London, Ontario
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent, Afternoon Shift
Reporting: To be determined
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 1:00am
Rate: $23.00 per hour plus $1.00 afternoon premium ($24.00/h)
Miller Waste Systems Inc. has been a leader in waste management and diversion since 1961, providing services in Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Manitoba. With over 50 years of experience, we operate from more than 30 locations. We are seeking a highly capable Equipment Technician for our London MRF Facility in London, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Collaborate with departmental teams, ensuring equipment operates cost-effectively and safely.
Monitor downtime, provide recommendations on asset management, and perform preventative maintenance.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems, baling equipment, and heavy machinery.
Perform general facility repairs, welding, cutting, and equipment troubleshooting.
Requirements:
Mechanically inclined with a strong work ethic.
Team leader with excellent organization and troubleshooting skills.
Prior mechanical and equipment experience required, along with own tools.
Ability to work weekends, overtime, and follow safety policies.
