About The Opportunity

As an Instructional Designer, you will transform content from subject matter experts into engaging online learning experiences.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Lead the creation of new online courses by applying cutting-edge instructional design techniques
Work closely with Program and Project Managers, Senior Officers, and Development Officers to ensure smooth course development
Liaise with the team regarding project timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are met and progress outcomes are reported
Design and develop engaging, challenging, and meaningful eLearning content using advanced tools and methodologies
Keep up-to-date with innovative knowledge transfer methods and technologies
Develop and assess the effectiveness of training materials in collaboration with the Program Manager
Utilize graphics and animation to create visually stimulating training content

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
Experience: Over 3 years in content development or instructional design
Technical Skills: Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools like Articulate 360 and Adobe Captivate, and familiarity with learning management systems such as Docebo
Adult Learning Expertise: An understanding of adult learning principles and the unique needs of global online learners
Best Practices Knowledge: Familiarity with online course design and delivery best practices
Project Management: Experience in managing instructional design projects
Current Knowledge: Awareness of the latest educational literature in online learning and instructional design
Tech Savvy: Knowledge of educational technologies and their application in online teaching
Communication Skills: Excellent English writing and editing skills, with strong verbal abilities. A second language is a plus
Creative and Strategic: Ability to craft motivational content and present complex information clearly
Organizational Skills: Highly organized with a keen attention to detail

About the Job

Location: Remote
Duration: August 2024, for a 1-year period, with possibility of extension
Salary between $80,000 to $100,000
