Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience, preferably in a growth-oriented and/or technology company. This role requires a versatile professional who can effectively manage both marketing and public relations responsibilities and build an effective team for to carry out these activities.
What You Will Be Doing
Public Relations and Media Relations:
• Manage relationship with external PR agency to maximize media coverage, develop press releases and submit award applications.
• Execute internal process of collecting key information from stakeholders for press releases and lead review process.
• Develop and maintain strong media relations to secure impactful press coverage.
• Respond to inbound media requests, media questions and develop standardized information package to be shared with media.
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand presence and drive growth amongst key external stakeholder groups.
• Oversee the creation and management of marketing collateral, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
• Lead strategic branding initiatives, such as advertising campaigns, website development and other brand asset development efforts.
Content Creating and Digital Marketing
• Create compelling content for various platforms, including blogs, social media, and marketing materials.
• Oversee the management of social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.
• Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize engagement and reach.
• Manage email marketing campaigns and evolve campaign strategy based on outcomes.
• Maintain website content and update as needed.
Events:
• Manage corporate conference and external event calendar.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify appropriate events, event sponsorships and trade shows.
• Develop abstracts to secure speaking slots as needed; support teams in providing bios, headshots and requisite material.
• Coordinate logistics for conferences and trade shows, including development of appropriate marketing collateral and trade show exhibitions.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Develop and lead a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
What You Will Bring
• 7-10 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within a growth-oriented and/or technology company.
• Strong background in journalism or marketing, with the ability to effectively balance both marketing and PR responsibilities.
• Proven experience working with external PR agencies, drafting press releases, and managing media relations.
• Demonstrated success in developing and managing marketing collateral and social media channels.
• Experience in leading strategic branding initiatives, including website relaunches.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing internal teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
