Insurance Broker Experienced - Commercial Lines RIBO Licensed with 5 years

Our Mississauga-based client is currently looking for a polished and professional Commercial Lines Insurance Broker. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activity involving clients, handling files, and maintaining retention targets regularly. Responsibilities also include: attaining premium growth, by up selling, and cross selling appropriate coverage as well as new business. You will adhere to timelines to acquire expiry dates at the time of policy renewals and dig into leads for potential new business.

Candidates are required to have experience within the following commercial lines account in Manufacturing, Construction, E&O and D&O, large auto fleets, and other lines of Commercial Insurance. Should you have Real Estate experience, this is considered to be a bonus!

Requirements:

• Valid RIBO license in good standing
• 5+ years commercial lines insurance experience, with a focus on mid-market accounts
• CIP, FCIP, or CAIB designation or working towards completion is considered an asset
• Strong analytical, organization, and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to adapt to an ever changing environment when required
• Level headed with the innate ability to stay focused and calm when dealing with clients
• Empathetic towards clients, always addressing their needs and putting them first
• Experience with TAM/Epic
• Experience with insurance portals, markets, and technology including MS Office, platforms, portals and other software

Responsibilities:

• Cross selling and up selling appropriate coverages and new business
• Binding accounts/coverage with insurer
• Maintain professional relationships with key underwriters to ensure maximization of new business growth and retention opportunities
• Show up everyday for your peers, subordinates, and clients
• Make sure your clients needs are met and adhered to
• Utilize understanding of insurance wordings
• Navigation through all technology
