Effective April 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is $88,496 to $141,350 per year in compliance with AMAPCEO collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to April 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined.

The Identity and Access Management Practice (IAMP) within Government Services Integration Cluster (GSIC) is currently in the process of modernizing OPS Enterprise Identity and Access Management Services and is looking for a Senior I&IT Project Manager to support the Public Secure enterprise service. This technology will allow the people and businesses of Ontario to access government applications and services on-line.
Note: Flexible work arrangements including flexible hours, telework (remote work), compressed work week, may be considered.

What can I expect to do in this role?
• Manage diverse IT system integration projects• Proactively work with vendors, stakeholders, and ministry program areas to plan, monitor and support the IT portion of integration projects
• Address, understand, and proactively identify risks and issues and mitigate them as needed
• Ensure effective project communication based on the appropriate level of audience and a level of comfort with providing regular updates to cross-functional Senior Management teams
• Promote OPS I&IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality, adherence to standard methodology and the control of the use of I&IT resources
• Ensure project compliance with corporate directives (e.g. I&IT Directives) and policies
How do I qualify?
Project Management Knowledge and Skills:
• You have experience related to project management, stakeholder management and IT project delivery• You are able to create, monitor and report on project timelines and deliverables
• You have experience leading and delivering multiple projects and cross-functional teams, including scoping, planning and managing resources
• You have a demonstrated understanding of project life cycle and the capability to apply best practices knowledge to unique and dynamic situations
• You can perform quick assessments, identify potential risks and issues, and assess project risks at a detailed level
• You have strong facilitation skills on delivering workshops remotely and ability to obtain consensus from wide and diversified working groups/stakeholders
• You possess in depth knowledge of project management methodology
• You have excellent time management and prioritization skills - ability to coordinate many tasks simultaneously without losing focus on the priority; ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and with aggressive timelines
• You are able to demonstrate a high level of fiscal control and accountability for project budget, forecast changes to the budget and communicates planned vs. actual budget variances as the project progresses
Consultation, Communication, and Collaboration Skills:
• You have strong facilitation and negotiation skills to lead consultations, resolve issues and obtain buy-in• You are able to manage stakeholders' expectations and understand requirements to ensure project scope and outcomes are clear understood by all stakeholders
• You have excellent skills in producing presentations, dashboards, briefing papers and submissions, business cases and status reports to different types of audiences
• You have experience in managing the risk, issue, and change resolution process
• You have exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
Leadership and Resource Management Skills:
• You can estimate resource requirements, identify gaps, and assist in the recruitment of the required resources where needed• You can assess project delays and lead meetings to understand causes, impacts, and implements corrective actions
• You can mentor, coach, and effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders and management
Technical Knowledge:
• You have knowledge of IT security authentication protocols and policies• You have knowledge of I&IT governance policies and processes
• You are able to develop effective project gating/control artifacts, socialize with multiple stakeholders, and obtain appropriate level of approval
• You have experience and working knowledge of collaboration tools, such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Planview, MS Teams
Other Essential Knowledge and Skills:
• You have knowledge of configuration management, incident management, change management and problem management principles and tools that are required support and manage I&IT applications• You have financial management acumen in managing large IT projects
• You have procurement knowledge and skills to support policies and practices in the acquisition of business solutions and services
