The candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in design review activities, equipment selection and specification process.
- Participating in Process Hazard Analysis activities for process safety systems.
- Overseeing and actively participating in the installation of equipment as per manufacturer's recommendations or engineering design.
- Red-lining and revising piping and instrumentation drawings (PIDS), facility and equipment drawings, and updating AutoCAD drawings.
- Troubleshooting process systems, equipment, and instruments.
- Coordinating project work with 3rd parties, contractors, etc.
- Preparing commissioning documentation and executing commissioning test functions.
- Executing qualification protocols to test equipment.
- Participating in Impact Assessment activities for equipment and utilities to determine critical components (for quality, safety and environment).
- Writing maintenance and operation procedures and training staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
The successful candidate for this position should have:
- Post-Secondary education in Engineering, CET or MET.
- Experience in a project-based work environment.
- Industrial experience in a GMP environment would be an asset.
- Ability to read, interpret, revise, and create (AutoCAD) piping, instrumentation, facility, and equipment drawings.
- Experience reading & writing in a technical manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving, coordination and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
