The Department of Sociology at Saint Mary's University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to commence January 1, 2025.
We are seeking a candidate whose substantive research expertise speaks to contemporary matters that will foster undergraduate engagement.
Areas can include, but are not limited to sport, violence, religion, matters connected to science and technology, social/digital media, and emerging trends in AI.
Successful candidates will also show promise teaching research methodology and introductory sociology.
Experience and Education Requirements
While preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in sociology, ABD candidates with a dissertation defense date scheduled may apply.
Please note that only applicants with a PhD (or ABD) in sociology will be considered for this position.
