The Mask Selector product team is looking for a motivated Associated Software Engineer (Intern) to join its vibrant, creative team between September 3, 2024 and December 20, 2024.
The position provides ample opportunity for you to work with cutting edge technology that includes AWS Serverless and SPA technologies (e.g.
AWS Lambda Functions, DynamoDB, and React.js).
The Mask Selector team provides you with mentoring, training and growth opportunities to support your career trajectory.
The Mask Selector product uses AI and cloud technology to recommend the best CPAP mask to patients to ensure they are experiencing the best sleep therapy experience.

Let's talk about the role
- You are a member of the full cycle development team that evolves, develops and supports the Mask Selector product.
As a member of a full cycle development team, your responsibilities include planning, designing, developing, testing, monitoring and support activities for the Mask Selector product.
The development team is empowered and is responsible for all aspects of the product end-2-end. - You contribute to the automated testing infrastructure, to the automated test suites, to the manual testing effort and to the test documentation required.
- You contribute to the release and to the quality management process at ResMed for the Mask Selector product.
The goal of this team is to release frequently on a regular cadence with safety and quality. - You advocate ideas to the team and you contribute to improve the product and the development/release process.
The goal is providing the best, responsive and accurate product to our users. - You communicate well.

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required:
You are actively enrolled in a post-secondary Computer Science Bachelor program.
You are located within Nova Scotia.
Preferred:
- Experience with Python and React.js.
- Experience with various application types (e.g.
backend service, console app, web app, REST API). - Experience with AWS Lambda, SQS or S3 is an asset.
- Experience working with, or an understanding of NoSQL databases (e.g.
DynamoDB) is an asset. - Experience with Git, Confluence, and JIRA is an asset.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g.
CodePipeline) or experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g.
Terraform) would be a plus.
