The Category Manager oversees strategic product portfolio vision and category performance optimization, mentoring team members for robust, market-aligned categories while ensuring profitability. They collaborate in strategy execution, vendor relations, and assortment efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on category strategy execution aligned with business goals.
- Analyze category performance, suggest improvements, and implement based on data.
- Develop budgets for efficient cost management and profitability.
- Category strategies contribute to business goals.
- Key metrics like sales, market share, and margin are effectively tracked and improved.
- Operational efficiency goals are consistently met.
- Manage relationships with large suppliers, ensure adherence to benchmarks, and negotiate contracts for mutual benefit.
- Effective communication with suppliers and timely issue resolution.
- Suppliers adhere to benchmarks and negotiate favorable terms.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and communication within the team.
- Collaborate with Buying, Marketing, and Sales Teams for optimal inventory, promotions, and documentation.
- Effective communication and support within the team.
- Coordination of product launches and documentation updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- 4-7 years of category management or related experience
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, adept at dynamic strategy execution
Remuneration:
- $80-85K
