The division is focused on ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed and has designated numeracy and student mental health and wellness as division priorities.
Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position:
S2324-73 Educational Assistant - Aurora Middle School We are seeking multiple full time (1.0 fte) positions commencing as soon as possible and for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year.
The assignments involve assisting with student educational program needs including social skills, behavior skills, self-help and personal care needs.
Training in speech, language and numeracy strategies will be a definite asset.
Aurora Middle School is located in the Town of Lac La Biche with approximately 325 students in grades 4 to 8.
Our school prides itself on being a caring, respectful, and safe school.
Preference will be given to applicants who have :
Post-Secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies Experience working one-on-one and/or in a classroom setting Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers Knowledge and experience in alternate communications strategies Experience assisting students with self-help and personal care needs Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans Training and skills that would be an asset include:
Relative experience in educational assistance, nursing and/or rehabilitation SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training How to Apply:
