Pattison Media's Lethbridge division is seeking a Radio Morning News Anchor/Reporter to add to the Lethbridge News Now team.
This position involves working alone in the newsroom during early morning hours.
Therefore, the ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently while showcasing sound news judgement.
Ideally, our next team member has a background in radio broadcasting, with a minimum of one year of newsroom experience.
The Morning News Anchor will be responsible for live and recorded newscasts on Pattison stations WILD 95.5 FM and All Hits B93.3.
The successful candidate will also work as a reporter, covering stories in the field.
Candidates should have:
• Strong on-air news anchoring skills
• Outstanding writing skills
• Excellent news judgement and the ability to make quick decisions
• Strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced morning news environment
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 1 year of newsroom experience
• Ability to work in Canada legally
Our newsroom currently operates on a rotating on-call system for weekend work, which may require the successful candidate to cover news events on the weekend.
