Primary Teacher

High Prairie School Division is inviting applicants for:
Primary Teacher for Kinuso School For the 2024-2025 School Year This is a full-time position for the school year with the potential for continuation.
The actual assignment may be adjusted to reflect the specific skills of the successful candidate.
Kinuso School is nestled in the Hamlet of Kinuso and is located 48 kilometres west of Slave Lake on the southern shores of Lesser Slave Lake.
We are proud to be a hub in a region that is home to a varied and diverse population with rich cultures and backgrounds.
The school serves 250 students from kindergarten to Grade 12 and has 37 staff members.
KInuso School offers programming in the arts, education, and extracurricular activities.
We are happy to house the community library.
Our public functions (annual Remembrance Day Ceremony, Italian Knights Supper and celebratory ceremonies), fundraisers and athletic events are well attended and supported by our families and community stakeholders.
Our students continue to develop and demonstrate strong leadership through Student Leadership Council and Youth Truth and Reconciliation Council.
We are honoured and grateful for our partnership with the Swan River Knowledge Keepers, and the land based learning experiences they are generously sharing with us.
Requirements:
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Education Degree Must have (or be eligible to obtain) an Alberta Teaching Certificate or proof of application from Alberta Education.
TQS or proof of application from the Alberta Teachers Association.
Successful candidates must produce an ORIGINAL, acceptable, recent (less than six months old) Criminal Records Check which must include Vulnerable Sector Check.
This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
