The Business Development Representative, under the direction of the Vice President of Business Development, will primarily be responsible for identifying growth opportunities with existing clients and new potential clients with the goal of increasing assets under protection at Explore. This role acts as a liaison between the client and different departments within Explore to ensure that expectations are understood and addressed. In addition, the Business
Development Representative will be responsible for populating and updating the company's CRM database and assisting with marketing activities.
As a company representative in direct contact with the existing and potential customers, the Business Development
Representative is the face of Explore and will always conduct themselves in a professional manner. As required the
Business Development Representative will maintain membership in various organizations and associations (Explore will cover the costs associated with membership).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and identify new growth opportunities in existing clients
Research and identify opportunities with potential new clients
Working closely with operations to educate clients/prospects about business solutions
Identify opportunities to solve business problems in new ways that are valuable to the client and Explore
Create strong working relationships with clients, with a goal of being viewed as a trusted advisor
Populating and delivering proposals, contracts, and sales presentations to clients/prospects using department approved templates
Tracking progress/sales activities and reporting goals in the CRM
Attending tradeshows and other networking events
Assisting with BD documentation
Maintaining the BD calendar
Assisting with marketing materials and communications at Explore
Liaising with internal teams such as Project Managers, Engineers, etc.
Achieve monthly and annual sales objectives and targets
Sharing feedback from clients with appropriate stakeholders
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary education in Business or Marketing (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years in B2B sales with a preference in the oil and gas/energy sector
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced multi-client environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on listening
Resourceful in all Microsoft Office applications
Strong customer-centric focus, personable, professional, and organized
Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting skills
Growth mindset and excited to be an integral part of taking Explore to the next phase corporately
Curious by nature. Enjoys collaborating with clients to solve business problems and asking thought provoking questions
Valid Class 5 Drivers License (some travel required)
