• this is a FT office based roleResponsibilities:
Lead projects through all design and construction phases, ensuring quality and mentoring the team.Leading and managing the design process from conception to completion of projects, collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure project goals are met.Create designs, drawings, and plans for projects.Resolve complex design and technical issues.Review and approve project materials, finishes, and equipment.Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.Undertake site reviews and construction administration.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and manage the project team to produce successful design and construction documentation.Attend client meetings and presentations.Qualifications:
Recognized degree in architecture coupled with 10+ years of post graduate experience in an Architecture office in a variety of project types (retail, hospitality, residential, and commercial office), with a developed understanding of all aspects of the industry.Must be registered or eligible to be registered with the AAA, AIBC registration is an asset but not a must.Proficient with the following platforms:
Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-Up.Excellent critical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to manage conflict, negotiate and provide leadership to Junior and Intermediate staff.Possess strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and be able to work under pressure.The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package of $95K-$115K base (based on experience) + benefits and RRSP matching.
