Our client is a major North American energy company based in Calgary, Alberta - Canada, that develops and operates natural gas pipelines, storage facilities and power-generation plants, with focus on renewable energy sources.
Responsibilities:
• Support the execution of the Pension & Benefits workstream so the South Bow programs are ready to be communicated and delivered to employees
• Collaborate with Total Rewards team members supporting the spin to execute tasks identified in the project workplan
• Escalate issues, interdependencies, and decisions to the Manager, Total Rewards on a timely basis for resolution
• Support the hands off accountability to a South Bow resource when approved for readiness
• Assist with documenting processes, creating and reviewing communication material, checking data integrity, testing systems, answering employee inquiries, and following up on issues or requests from vendors and consultants
• Support other Pension & Benefits operational activities as required
Minimum Qualifications:
• A relevant undergraduate degree in business or commerce with a minimum 8 years of pension and/or benefits experience in a large, complex, corporate environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with U.S. benefits or pension is an asset
• Solid organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Problem solver with critical thinking skills including an aptitude to adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic and complex organization
• Highly motivated to work in an open team environment, employing a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to manage information, data and correspondence on multiple levels
• Consistently deliver exceptional customer service with an ability to resolve inquiries in an effective and timely manner
• Managing competing priorities in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment while being flexible with changing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally with stakeholders at multiple levels
• Exceptional judgement and discretion when dealing with confidential matters and working collaboratively with others
