About the Team
Xero's 'Catalyst Engineering' portfolio is our platform engineering and enablement function, responsible for powering Xero's engineers and our Partner Ecosystem with the platforms and toolchains to rapidly build innovative, robust and secure products that meet the needs of Xero's customers.

About the Role
As Architect for Identity and Authorisation, you will work closely with Product and Engineering leaders to define strategic roadmaps for the technical capabilities of our identity, authentication and authorisation platforms, ensuring that they are fit for purpose for the rapidly changing needs of the products that they support.
You will work with product architects and engineers to drive the adoption of new and evolving platform capabilities and best practices within their products.
Internal to the team you will bring the leadership, customer obsession and technical depth required to build collaborative relationships with your product and engineering counterparts.

- You've worked as a Solution Architect in an organisation that delivers complex digital products through multi-disciplinary teams.
- You're familiar with Customer Identity & Access Management domain, either building or consuming the capabilities to manage user identity, authentication and authorisation for digital products that serve millions of users
- You're effective at translating between high-level business strategy to an actionable roadmap for your area
- You're familiar with common identity and access patterns including identity federation and fine-grained authorisation
- You're familiar with API security in a cloud-native environment
- You're familiar with cloud providers and have worked with AWS, GCP or Azure
- You're willing to dive into technical detail when it matters, and might have a software engineering background
- You're familiar with domain-driven design and its application in synchronous and asynchronous integration of complex data driven, customer-facing systems.
- You've worked in fast-moving agile environmentsYou understand the information security, risk management, data privacy and compliance considerations in the software development lifecycle
- You have great listening, problem-solving, communication and coaching skills
