Role Description:

In the role of AVP, Data Architect & Engineering, you will be a key member of the Senior IT management team.
You will be responsible for leveraging the organization's data assets to provide value for business stakeholders.
This includes the creation and management of a data strategy, and the implementation of related programs and practices that drive measurable business outcomes.
This role involves establishing, leading, and managing the DA&E function; developing talent and mature DA&E culture; establishing trust and managing data; and advancing technology capabilities.

One of the primary responsibilities you will fulfill in this role is lead your workforce.
You will oversee delivery models, methods, and practices that provide consistent application and use of data and analytics solutions.
You will be accountable for the development and maintenance of our enterprise data warehouse.
You will build partnerships with senior leaders to establish the vision and roadmap for deriving the maximum value from our data assets.

Some of the essential functions of this role are:

Creates transparency and stakeholder engagement using exceptional interpersonal skills and communication including status updates and KPIs.
Foster the creation of a data-driven culture, related competencies, and data literacy across the enterprise.
Contributes to these transformation efforts by developing talent and maturing the capability of the organization.
Accountable for key DA&E team leadership activities, such as developing the next level of leaders, performance/people management, work management, capacity planning, and aligning team efforts to department and corporate goals.
Drive the strategic direction of data and analytics technology by creating and maintaining a roadmap that incorporates best practices, emerging trends, and organizational needs

Qualifications:
Education:

A Bachelor's in information technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Networking, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Required Qualifications:

15 or more years of experience in the IT industry
Broad business experience internally and within the vertical industry is desired.
Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams, multidisciplinary environments and enterprise-wide data and analytics programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
Demonstrates business and financial acumen including budget creation, financial analysis, and managing expenditures.
An absolute commitment to maintaining information security, data privacy, and confidentiality and establishes an environment and culture that aligns to that commitment.
Must be able to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week in office at our company's Headquarters located at 1832 Schuetz Rd.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in the P&C Insurance industry preferred.
Prior experience leading or working on Agile engineering teams (Kanban or Scrum), preferably in the Scaled Agile Framework for enterprises (SAFe).

The target salary range for this position is $186,000 to $297,000.
Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
