GliaCell is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U. S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Make complex datasets easily accessible and searchable.
Develop repeatable solutions to ingest, parse, search, and display customer datasets.
Utilize a MODERN tech stack to produce a responsive user experience.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
U. S. Citizenship.
3+ years of Software Engineering experience and a BS Degree in Computer Science (or related) OR 7+ years with no degree.
Works well independently as well as on a team.
Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Java 11+
Document-based stores (i. e. MongoDB, OpenSearch, etc. )
Understands design concepts and pros/cons of storing data in document formats
Maven/Git

Desired Skills:

Python
AWS Service (i. e. Lambda's, Step functions, S3, etc. )
RESTful Service development
Apache Spark or Apache MapReduce

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland / Partial Telework

Salary: Based on Education, Years of Experience, Skill, and Abilities
