Medivet Woodstock is a busy and well-established 24-hour Hospital which supports the surrounding practices in Oxfordshire with their out-of-hour needs.
Our 24-hour Veterinary Hospital has full access to state-of-the-art facilities such as an orthopaedic theatre, digital x-ray, ECG, MRI, CT imaging and much more.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated night nurse with a passion for emergency and critical care who enjoys working to a gold standard.
Experience of working in a busy practice or hospital would be preferred.
This role will involve working 12 hour shifts, 7 nights on, 7 nights off.
Y ou will be working with a twilight RVN until midnight and covering on call until 7am.
There is also a second nurse on call.
We can be flexible on working pattern, please let us know what you are looking for.
All our clinics share the same software so you will have full access to the patients' history at all times.

Role Accountabilities Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet.

In this role you will:

Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
Deliver patient monitoring and care.
Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
Dispense and check medication.
Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
