The Role
Reporting directly to the COO, the role will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and supporting new business opportunities, building, and maintaining relationships with key defence stakeholders and contributing to the overall strategic objectives of the business. The role will also lead to demonstrations of the company's products to defence customers, including overseas.
Develop and lead relationships with defence customers (everything from soldiers, quartermasters, commanders, and procurement project managers
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for business growth.
Analyse competitor activities and market dynamics to stay informed about industry trends.
Generate new business leads through various channels, including networking.
Qualify leads and assess potential for successful partnerships.
Function as the primary point of contract for key accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
The Person
The ideal Sales Manager will be career driven and ambitious, and have a proven track record of success within the defence sector. Other qualities will include;
MUST have experience/ Technical knowledge in defence Industry (ideally surveillance technology although other domains can be considered)
Understanding and appreciation of defence customers' needs and drives.
Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Articulate and professional with good customer-facing communication skills.
