Systems Engineer

The Company

Our client is an ambitious and award-winning Consultancy providing support and advice to a range of clients delivering large scale complex infrastructure projects. They are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team and be based in Edinburgh.

The Opportunity

This is a busy and challenging but rewarding role for a Systems Engineer ideally with 1-3 years of experience. You will be joining a well-established and respected team of professionals in a supportive and progressive working environment.

The role will involve working with delivery teams, customers, regulatory bodies and other major stakeholders. The projects you will be involved in are highly complex and multidisciplinary in nature. You will either support project teams in delivering systems engineering solutions for our clients or be responsible for managing resources and delivery of tasks.

• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Working towards achieving chartership with a recognised professional body
• Engineering experience relevant to Systems Engineering and particularly Requirements Management
• Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing technical processes
• Sound skills to analyse complex systems and understand the interrelationships between various components.
• Knowledge of systems thinking principles
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong track record of success in working with delivery teams, customers, regulatory bodies and other major stakeholders
• Ability to speak a second language (highly desirable, preferably German / French / Spanish)
